+ APPEARANCE +
Alison isn't an exceptionally tall girl, only reaching five foot seven which is about average height. She has long legs and a rather short torso, which makes finding jeans that are the right length difficult to manage. Her body has an obvious athletic build to it, though the only real muscle definition she has in her arms and legs. Alison has curves, though they're slight and only noticeable depending on the clothes that she wears.
Her blonde hair is naturally curly, a fact that she hated as a child because she would end up with a funky looking blonde afro. As she got older, however, Alison learned how to control it, not to mention straighten it. Her hair, when straightened, reaches nearly to her elbows and her bangs are eye length, sweeping sideways across her face more often than not. If she doesn't bother with straightening her hair then it just barely reaches past her shoulders and she'll usually pull it up into a pony tail.
When it comes down to her clothing style Alison prefers comfort over style, but by no means are any of her clothes low quality. Skirts and dresses aren't her things so she generally wears a pair of light colored jeans. Her clothes are lighter, more neutral colors since she isn't a fan of bright, neon colors. Her tops vary from tank tops to long sleeved shirts, depending on the weather, but she likes wearing layers, meaning she'll always have on a button up shirt or some kind of under shirt. When it comes to shoe wear Alison actually enjoys wearing heels, though if they don't match with her outfit then she has a couple other pairs of Converse and sneakers.
+ PERSONALITY +
Alison has a rather hard outer shell that she's built up over years of dealing with backstabbing friends and dealing with crap from person after person. She's learned not to take crap any longer, choosing instead to distance herself from any of the drama that people and life tend to create. With a habit of dealing with issues on her own, Alison doesn't generally rely on other people, even in those few times that she really should. Being independent has been drilled into her head from the beginning and its been with her since. Generally speaking she tries not to get close people, or let other people get close to her, and having a hard personality tends to make this easier.
Even with her trust issues there are some people who manage to get through her shell. Her personality with her friends is wildly different than when she's with people that she doesn't know. Alison is an outgoing person who's not afraid to speak her mind, and contrary to popular belief, she does know how to have fun. She has quite a few interests, some of which include reading, writing, and swimming , and she can be rather creative when she wants to be. When it comes down to working in groups then Alison is a leader and tends to take charge whenever possible and she does her best not to step on people's toes in the process.
English is her life. Alison will read anything she can get her hands on and while others may hate essays and writing in general, she loves it. She can do nearly any kind of writing style, though her favorite is the creative style, and its been a dream of her's to be an English teacher since she entered high school. There have been times, numerous times in fact, where she's been called a grammar Nazi or spelling Nazi, and if asked to edit someone's essay for them she can be, for lack of a better word, harsh.
However, English isn't the only thing that Alison has a passion for. She loves drama, the class anyway, and has participated in every school play she possibly could from the third grade onward. Acting isn't the only part that she loves of drama class, but script writing, especially since it involves her original major. Alison isn't really a singer, though she can dance relatively well, so whenever there's a musical type of play she tends to work behind the scenes or in the background.
+ HISTORY +
Alison was born on October 4 in 1993 to Jackson and Irene Cole. They lived in Chicago, Illinois and her father worked as a defense lawyer, meaning he spent a lot of time working on cases while his wife took care of Alison nearly on her own. Their marriage had lost the spark years ago but Irene wasn't willing to divorce because of the house and Jackson knew that if he divorced the woman she would get custody of their daughter. The only thing that the two of them had in common anymore was their love for the little girl. Alison grew up in a household where she got everything that she asked for, but she was also forced to take a variety of tutored classes, specifically piano, which seemed to be something every rich and prissy little girl was taught. She was rather adept at it and learned quick enough, but Alison had no real passion for it and when she was ten she all but begged her father to let her drop the classes.
Alison was very much her daddy's little girl and it wasn't only because he let her get away with the things that her mother wouldn't, but because he was always the easier one to talk to. There were things that she could tell her father that she knew that if her mother found out about she'd be worse than dead. In the third grade Alison starred in her first play and from then on she tried out for every play and made most of them, though she didn't star in all of them. In middle school she began realizing that she had a passion for English; she read every book she could get her hands on, wrote essays without complication and even enjoyed writing them most of the time. In her seventh grade year things between her parents blew up.
Irene couldn't handle the constant being put in last place; after all, she was his wife and yet she was pushed to the back. Jackson's work was no longer his first priority, Alison was, even though she was perfectly capable of handling herself, and his work came second, but only to her. Irene filed for divorce, fully intending to take everything that he had, starting with Alison. She made a killing from the divorce, and got full custody over her daughter, something that nearly killed her father. She tried to make it impossible for him to see her, but without enough evidence to prove that those rights should be taken from him, Jackson was allowed to have her over the weekends and the majority of the summer.
When she got her invitation to go to St. Martin Academy, Alison was surprised but happy to say the least...until her mother told her that she wasn't going to allow her to go. Alison, of course, went to her father, who convinced Irene to allow her to go by promising to pay for any expenses that came with having to send her to the school.
